This Pub is Closed Long Term
Originally built circa 1840 and first licensed in 1843. There was a recent two year closure, then the pub re-opened in Dec 2011 after a refurbishment, with an extension now open for meetings or buffets. The main bar area is open plan, with lots of wood panelling and comfortable seating. The bar is a squarish horseshoe shape with exposed brickwork. Pub permanently closed in late august 2014 and sold to a developer. Planning consent was given mid Jan 2015 to convert it to private housing.
