Built in 1912 as part of the vast Imperial Tobacco estate across Bedminster, Southville and Ashton. Saved from demolition in 1993, the cafe bar opened in 2001, transformed into a thriving, vibrant venue offering good quality, locally produced vegetarian and vegan food and drink. The six handpumps always feature Bristol Beer Factory, plus other local brews and often a real cider or perry. Alongside the large, industrial-style space of the cafe bar, the smaller, more comfy snug is to the side is available for private hire. The Tobacco Factory Theatre (like the cafe bar, fully accessible throughout) is right next door, and has its own separate bar. The outside yard has a covered area for year-round use, with a separate bar open in the warmer months. The yard and adjacent side street host a local market every Sunday morning. Card payment only .
