Nomination guide

Notice: Any unsubmitted nominations will now automatically be submitted when nominations end.
  1. Log in with your CAMRA membership

Login using your CAMRA membership details. (CBOB nominations are open to CAMRA members only). If you have a Branch Committee role, or are a Festival Organiser, you will see additional tabs for making a branch or festival nomination. Full details of how to make these kinds of nominations can be found on the relevant page.
  2. Find your favourite beers

Visit the 'Your nominations' page and begin searching for all your favourite beers. You can find beers using the search bar and/or the category search. You'll also see a list of beers you've liked, or scored highly in the last year. Depending on how much information you've entered about your preferences, you might also see a 'Recommended' list of the beers you've told CAMRA's systems you enjoyed the most.
  3. Build your shortlist

Add beers to your shortlist using the add thumbs up icon next to the beer name or just click on the beer name. You can nominate for just one beer or up to five beers per category. It is easier to select all the beers you are going to nominate in all categories now, then rearrange them later (don't worry, you can reorder at any time!) Each selected beer will be given a rank from 1 to 5 in ascending order. Beers in rank 1 will be given the most points and beers in rank 5 will be given the least points.
  4. Filter by National or Area

You can filter the beers that show up in the search to see "National" or "Area" beers. The "Area" filter will only show beers in your Champion Beer of Britain area. It does not matter how many you pick from each as long as the total does not exceed five.
  5. Rearrange your shortlist

View your shortlist by clicking on the orange "thumbs up" icon floating on the right hand side. This will bring up a shortlist menu where you can rearrange the rank of your nominations, edit or remove them.

On desktop you can drag and drop the ranking order of the beers in the shortlist. On mobile you can click on the up and down arrows to rank them.

  6. Confirm and submit

When you are happy with your selection and the order, proceed to the next step using the "Proceed" button at the bottom of your shortlist to confirm your nomination choices and finally submit.

You can log back in to edit your nominations anytime up until the closing date of 31 October 2026.
