Alf Turner, the award-winning brand backed by Dragons’ Den entrepreneur Peter Jones, will be selling its Hero IPA in 174 Craft Union pubs from 5 November.

The timing has been chosen to coincide with Remembrance Day (11 November), giving customers the chance to raise a glass in honour of the UK’s armed forces community.

Part of the proceeds from every pint sold will go to Help for Heroes, the national charity supporting wounded, injured and sick veterans and their families.

Alf Turner has already raised more than £305,000 for Help for Heroes. This new Stonegate partnership is expected to raise up to a further £3,000 for the charity.

Alf Turner founder Paul Turner said: “We’re delighted that Stonegate is bringing Hero IPA into its pubs, particularly at this poignant time of year.

“The beer was created to celebrate and support our armed forces, and with Remembrance Day approaching, we hope pubgoers across the country will join us in raising both a glass and vital funds for Help for Heroes.”

Hero IPA (4 per cent ABV) is brewed exclusively for Alf Turner by Hogsback brewery. Hogsback MD Miles Chesterman said: “It’s a beer with real character, crafted with care here in Surrey, and brewed for a purpose that goes far beyond the glass. Knowing that each pint poured in Stonegate pubs will help support our veterans makes this partnership especially meaningful for us.”
