Historic Interest
A report in the Bury & Norwich Post** on Jan-16 in 1866 when William Baldwin was the landlord states that: "Baldwin was charged & found guilty of receiving two hams knowing them to be stolen. "it was a most atrocious offence" for which he received 6 months hard labour".
