Heavily beamed bar with inglenook fireplace. The building dates from the late 15th century, with 16th & 17th century alterations. Apparently it's the only Manger pub in the country. Achieved Cask Marque status June 2017.

Historic Interest

A report in the Ipswich Journal** in Dec 1820 states that : On the 23rd of November died, greatly respected, aged 66, Mr John Plummer, of the Manger Inn, Bradfield. Photographs of this pub and more historical information about it can be found at suffolk.camra.org.uk/pub/73
