Bull, Cavendish

A report in the Ipswich Journal*** in Sep 1850 states that : Married on the 16th, at St Peter's Church, Sudbury, by Rev. Watts Wilkinson, Joseph, second son of Mr Edward Deeks, of the Bull Inn, Cavendish, to Susannah, youngest daughter of Mr Thomas Dixey, of the Green Dragon Inn, Sudbury. A report in the Ipswich Journal*** in Nov 1850 states that : Died on the 10th of November, Mr Edward Deekes, landlord of the Bull, Cavendish. A report in the Ipswich Journal*** in Mar 1870 states that : Died on the 25th of February, aged 12 days the infant child of Mr John Martin Deeks, Bull Inn, Cavendish. A report in the Ipswich Journal*** in June 1880 states that : Mr Wallis of the Bull Inn applied for an extension in time on the occasion of the annual fair to be held on the 11th June, which was granted. A report in the Bury & Norfolk Post & Suffolk Herald** on 07 Aug in 1883 states that : John Roote was found guilty of striking Joseph Brown with some carrots & afterwards, with his fist, without provocation, at the Bull Inn, Cavendish. Fined 5s & 12s costs. In Jun/Jly 1982 edition of Last Orders**** it was reported that the Bull had been sold by Ind Coope (Charringtons) Also once incorporated a small local brewery.
