Quality food oriented pub in rural setting, believed to be established in 1706. Fantastic views of the Calder Valley and the Kirklees Hall estate. Interesting multi-level layout with some comfy chairs. Drinkers are welcome anytime as the pub has separate, cosy areas for diners and drinkers. 229 bus 30 minutes' walk, 256 and 259 2 minutes. Under the same management as the Cross Keys, Liversedge and the Royal and Ancient at Colne Bridge. Last drinks orders 30 minutes before closing, last food orders 30 minutes before stated times.
