DEMOLISHED in July 2016, having closed in 2011. A planning application to demolish and build 7 flats had been approved in 2012 but had expired in September 2015. According to the planning authority, by early 2016 the poor condition of the building had become a source of local concern and so it served an "Untidy Land Notice" on the owners of the property, London District Housing, ordering demolition. Any new use of the land, or any new building on the site would require new planning permission
This was a large two bar Whitbread pub furnished in an art deco style with books and other decorations to give a living room feel. Large rear bar offered pool and darts. Its proximity to the Earls Court Exhibition halls, alas also now demolished, meant it became busy when shows were on. An upstairs function room had its own small bar. First licensed in 1868 as a beer house gaining a full licence in 1876. The pub was closed from 1942 to 1947 following severe bomb damage. Called the Richmond Arms until it was rebuilt in 1964/5 and renamed the Tournament, a name influenced by the annual Royal Tournament at Earls Court, although the pub sign depicted an indoor showjumper.
