This Pub is Permanently Closed
Grade II listed corner pub with a curved counter and wood panelling. Built in 1841 as the Talbot (a breed of hunting dog) and renamed in 1975 when it was refurbished with a nautical theme. A history of the Tea Clipper can be found on an outer wall and pictures of tea clippers on the inner ones! NB this pub was closed as at early June 2014. Application for change of use to residential granted on appeal.
