This is a club, which means that the bar may be only open to members.
Although this is a private club, open only to staff, students and alumni of Imperial College, Associate Membership (allowing two guests as well) can be purchased on the spot for £2 - very good value, considering the keen food and drink prices (aimed at impoverished students), which contrast very favourably with pubs in the area.
There is no signage, so head for the south-east corner of the private (but accessible) Prince's Gardens - the bar is visible through the windows on the ground floor of Linstead Hall, part of Eastside halls of residence. It is in modern style, with a psychedelically under-lit bar counter and cafe-style tables, sofas, etc.
Ideally situated for a rest after the rigours of the V & A, Natural History and Science museums and the Albert Hall.
Handpump removed during COVID, unfortunately.
