A worthwhile 10-minute uphill walk from the centre of New Brighton, this former Whitbread pub has a split-level lounge with a dining/function room, patio and garden. A quiz is hosted on Tuesday, open mic Wednesday and live music on Thursday and Saturday. Darts and Football teams. Old photos were taken in 1989.

Historic Interest

Dating back to at least 1864 - see advert from 1864. An Argyle Brewery pub, later Birkenhead Brewery. Described in 1980 as a cosy two room local selling Whitbread Special Cask Bitter.
