Set just outside the Cardiff city boundary this 15th century pub has an L-shaped bar with low beams and two log stoves. It offers a single regularly changing ale, often from a local Welsh brewery, plus real cider and perry. The separate restaurant is used for Sunday lunches and functions, and accomodation is available. An active supporter of charities, with some interesting second hand books to purchase. The pub may close early if quiet in the evening.
