This Lloyds No. 1 bar Wetherspoon pub opened 4-Jun-07 after a complete refurbishment. Large airy JDW pub located in the Town Centre over two floors.It is on the site of the original Sir Daniel Arms, a Victorian pub demolished in 2000. Downstairs is a large open bar with varying comfortable seating arrangements and outside seating to the front and side of the building. There is a similar bar upstairs with outside balcony seating. Occasional music piped through PA system. Apart from its three regular beers it features three guest beers always well kept. At least one real cider is served (bag in box). Meals are served from opening time until 11pm.
