Two bar pub close to main-line railway crossing point (station is no longer used) and giving good views over the large village green. Outside covered and heated terrace. Well supported and lively music events,fish and chips on Fridays and "Ruby Tuesday" Curry nights. Two railway carriage/booths give a snug like quality. Seating out on the common to the side of the pub and a limited bus service. Annual beer festival last Saturday in July with music on the common. Regular arts exhibitions by Mellis Arts
