Believed to have reopened on Wednesday 17 May 2023 with new tenants having been closed temporarily on Thursday 27 April 2023.

The opening times and meal times are as the website on 23 February 2024, the real ale choice from a short visit on 22 February 2024.

This pub sits in a quiet village not far from the M40. It dates from the late seventeenth century and retains a lot of its traditional charm.

The freehold of the pub was purchased by the Great Milton Community Pub Limited (a Community Benefit Society) in 2013 and operated as a community owned pub for several years. In 2023 the pub, after having apparently run into trading difficulties during the pandemic, was sold to a local businessman who is apparently committed for the pub to continue to be a community asset.
