This Pub is Closed Long Term

Closed on 15 September 2024 on the retirement of the existing licensee who had been at the Rainbow for 30 years. The pub has been sold by the Brakspear pub co; the rumour is that a person who runs high-end rental properties in London and Madrid has bought it with the view to continue it as a pub. We will update this description if or when we get confirmation of the pub's future.

This compact and unspoilt traditional 17th century country pub nestles in the Stonor Valley. The cosy public bar can be packed after local field events while the lounge serves good home cooked food, with additionally a pizza night on Thursday - Saturday evenings, which can also be ordered for collection to enjoy at home.
