An old canal side pub reopened under the auspices of The Crown in Worthington In what was feared a pub never to reopen again after closure by Thwaites in spring 2017. The licensee plans to make it a hub of the community with a new upstairs restaurant. It is ideal for rambles along the canal with the many real ale outlets in the vicinity or just watch the canal boats go along the canal from the large outside seating area or in winter sit next to the cosy real fire inside.
