Historic Interest
Situated in College Road, the club was established in 1936 as the College Club. Following a licensing issue in 1952, it was re-launched with a new identity, taking the name "Royston" from another nearby street. In the 2000s the club experienced financial difficulties and came close to closure, but was successfully rescued and turned around by a team led by local estate agent Barrie Lloyd. Barrie remains the club's long-serving Secretary, and received a CAMRA/Club Mirror national recognition award for his work in 2024.
