Bar and coffee shop within the historic Trestle Arts Base building but open to all visitors. Operated by local wine specialists Fade to Black, who also have a premises in Marshalswick. No cask ale, but offers a selection of keg beers as well as some "craft" cans and bottles. Food available includes sandwiches, toasties, and impressive cheese and charcuterie boards. Warning: this venue does not accept cash so payment is by card only.

Historic Interest

The building was originally the chapel of Hill End Hospital, which opened in 1900 and closed in 1995. Hill End was one of five psychiatric hospitals located in the St Albans area.
