In DH Lawrence's book 'Sons & Lovers' the pub is called the 'Moon & Stars'. Asset of Community Value registered 6 January 2023 (for five years) and nominated by the Nottingham Branch of CAMRA. In 1855, the Three Tuns was a fully licensed establishment under victualler J. Meakin (Post Office Directory).
