Situated on the main Nottingham Road in a row of shops, this micropub sells a range of mostly local real ales, 5 on hand pump with up to a further 5 on gravity. Whilst the name is partially derived from a container to carry beer in (Growler) when the building was being renovated a pre-cast lion was found, and he is now proudly on display as 'The Growler' - currently purple in colour. A fine rear patio garden was established in August 2019. Winner of the 2018 Nottingham CAMRA LocAle Pub of the Year. Selection of 'zero' alcohol beers available
