Large L shaped pub. At one end, up to steps, is the pool table/darts area whilst at the other end is the TV. Pleasant patio area at rear and bench seating at the front.
Historic Interest
Inter-war pub building named for local landowner the Duke of Newcastle, with notable high relief sign showing the ducal family's shield and crest. Formerly a Home Ales house. The Newcastle Arms has an entry on the Nottingham LHL HA328. (and before that, the Nottingham Civic Society's Draft Heritage List (09 December 2013)), which noted that it was built in 1930 for the Home Brewery Co. and was designed by architects Evans, Clark & Wollatt.
