Small open plan roadside bar that has undergone a transformation with the discovery and exposure of an old fireplace that was hidden behind the old bar counter. The bar has been moved to the rear of the room so that the introduction of a hard fuel burning stove can give a new focal point and exude a more cosy feel especially during cold spells. The new bar sports two handpumps for the house ale and a guest while to the right is a small stillage for a guest cider. Bar snacks are available from 12-5pm Saturday and Sunday. Downstairs leads to the walled garden and play area at the rear. There is an upstairs function room that was not in use at the time of writing but watch this space. As the address suggests, the old railway station was once sited just down the road behind the pub where you will find the car park. Two public car parks are situated nearby, one to the south near the shops, the other less than 100 metres north of the pub. Now operating as a cafe.
