This Pub is Closed Long Term

This historic old inn, with its distinctive frontage and oak beamed interior, is famous for its use by both sides during the English Civil War and Sealed Knot members gravitate to it when celebrating commemorative events in the town. Up to five real ales are usually available, rotating choice from St Austell, Dartmoor, Exmoor, Bath Ales and independent brewers. Closed in December 2023 future uncertain.

Listed as Grade 2 Star, historic coaching inn, retains many original features.
