A very pleasant two bar ex Courage pub near to the Grand Union Canal. Named after Rowland Hill, a general on the Duke of Wellington's general staff who commanded the 2nd Corps at the Battle of Waterloo. There was a fine pub sign which was painted by G.E. MacKenney. Good beer and pleasant hosts. Later became open-plan, the pub is in three distinct sections. Two are carpeted with comfortable seating, one of which has a large screen TV. The third has a tiled floor and boasts a pool table.
