Planning Application submitted: Demolition of existing public house and erection of 13no. supported housing apartments

Thoroughly refurbished internally during autumn 2009. A smart lounge with several separate areas, cosy in winter having two open fires. Behind the main bar, the former public bar is laid out with dining tables and may be booked for functions. Food is offered only to accompany special events at present. There’s a good sized garden to the rear with a large covered patio for smokers. The pub has is now very welcoming with licensees Pat and Steve creating a positive atmosphere that will surprise anyone who remembers its recent years. Two ever-changing cask ales are joined by a cask cider or perry. Recruiting is under-way for games teams. There’s a dart board, skittles table and cards or dominoes are available. Regular events at time of writing are bingo on Monday, games night on Tuesday, cask ale club on Thursday and a quiz on Saturday.
