Sommar closed in June 2024. It reopened as a restaurant in June 2025.

Sommar Leicester opened on 1 July 2022. Sommar was a small brewery in the canalside area of Birmingham, and produced about six to 10 different beers a month, including American style IPAs, sour ales and a Czech-style pilsner. The brewery established a small estate of 'craft beer' bars. This pub had many 'craft keg' taps serving Sommar beers and guests from microbreweries.

Historic Interest

Opened as 'Spirits Bar' in June 2018, a conversion of the former 'Bag Shop' which had traded for over a century. Operated as 'Sommar Leicester' from July 2022 to June 2024.
