Rock Tavern, Stourport-on-Severn

An old pub serving meals in the restaurant, dating from the 1830s and originally cottages, it has a comfortable and modern style. Home-cooked meals are sourced from local free-range ingredients and served at lunchtimes and evenings, except Sunday evenings. The main meal menu features pub classics, quality burgers and interesting home-made pizzas. The pub is closed on Mondays, except bank holidays, and Tuesdays.

There are usually four beers on handpulls including one from a local brewery.

It's handy for the adjacent country walk along the old railway line as far as Stourport, once part of the Severn Valley line through to Bewdley and beyond. Car parking is immediately opposite for users of the pub, near the riverside garden.

A very unusual feature is a rock cave at the back, which can be peered into from the enclosed garden and smoking area, but may not be entered.

Level access to the bar, restaurant and adapted WC can be arranged through the side entrance; call staff for assistance if not open.
