This Pub is Permanently Closed

Once an old and characterful village pub in an urban setting. Closed by Punch and TESCO against determined community opposition and with little sympathetic support from the local council. Planning Inspector allowed change of use despite ACV in place and determined local opposition. A very unjust decision. It's since been converted to housing. The historic ceramic "Best in the West' emblem has disappeared.
