This Pub is Permanently Closed

This pub was closed and boarded-up in 2009. The ground floor has subsequently been used unlawfully as a printer which the council regarded as more akin to a light industrial enterprise (class B1) than the permitted retail. Planning was granted in November 2014 to convert and extend the former pub into 7 residential units. Update April 2016: work now seems to have started converting the former Shire Horse into flats.
