Opened in November 2016, the Beer Shed is a cosy micropub split across two levels of a converted shop, with a Beer Yard at the rear. It offers a wide range of beers from all over the UK and Europe. Seating comprises fixed bench style and tables and chairs. Four handpulls serve changing beers from independent British breweries. Nine keg lines dispense a varying range of craft beers, at least one of which is gluten free. Rothaus pilsner, Thornbridge Lucas, Red Willow Weightless and Boon Kriek are usually served.

There are bottled and canned beers & ciders to take away or to drink on the premises. Also wines, spirits, zero products plus snacks are available but no hot food, and there are no fruit machines or TV screens.

External takeaway food is permitted to be consumed on the premises, when purchasing drinks from the bar.

A shallow step up from the footway provides access through a short entrance passageway and angled front door to the step free bar area. The pub is very narrow, particularly around the bar. No accessible toilet. The toilet is reached down a steep flight of stairs.
