Opened in November 2016, the Beer Shed is a somewhat cosy micropub split across two levels of a converted shop. Although owned by part of the team from nearby Torrside Brewing, it offers a wide range of beers from all over the UK and Europe. Seating comprises fixed bench style and tables and chairs. Four handpulls serve changing beers from independent British breweries. Nine keg lines dispense a varying range of craft beers, at least one of which is gluten free. Rothaus pilsner and Boon Kriek are usually served.
There are bottled and canned beers to take away or to drink on the premises. Nuts and crisps are also available but no hot food, and there are no fruit machines.
