Fulflood Arms, Winchester

19th century street corner local with green glazed tiles on the exterior and etched glass windows. It is somewhat hidden in a quiet residential area away from the city-centre, but a short walk west from the railway station.

In the early 2010’s the pub had its own micro-brewery, but that operation moved to the Queen Inn in the south of the city which now regularly supplies its beers.

The open plan pub has a single bar serving a mixture of varying national and local beers, typically three on hand pump and one on gravity. To the left of the bar is a wood-burning stove and library, whilst to the right is a raised area with dart board and an upright piano surrounded by vinyl records and deck that provide the background music. The walls have pictures showing historic reminders of Winchester and note the old city map on the ceiling! At the rear is a small multi-level patio area, including a covered smoking area, with old signs on the surrounding brick walls. There are also a couple of benches at the front of the pub.

No food is served, but takeaways may be ordered.
