Cosy, friendly country local community pub with low beamed ceilings and stone/wooden floors. Within the multiple rooms are a cabinet with vintage beer bottles/tankards, an open fire, wood burner, upright piano and walls decorated with antiques, local photos/pictures and memorabilia (including some brushes). Outside there are benches at the front next to pair of large stable doors and seating in the lovely old English style garden at the rear, that includes a potting shed that can be booked for eating in the summer.

The bar serves four cask ales from various local breweries and two ciders (one local keg and one boxed). Locally sourced food is served from an ever changing menu. The building is over 600 years old and has previously been a school and a brush makers.
