Historically names The Malthouse, the pub was renamed 'The Goat' on 15 July 2019 but renamed back to The Malthouse and a 'gastro pub' July 2024.

[2017]: Children can go and play in the very large garden with climbing frame and an area for smaller children. Carvery Wednesday and Sunday, otherwise a fairly wide range of pub food with specials. Can get exceptionally busy at weekends when the weather is good.
