Dating from the 16th century, the pub is comfortably furnished in what might be described as contemporary rustic style. On entering, to the left is a lounge area with a large open fire and beyond that a restaurant area; straight on is the main bar, further seating and access to the garden. Much of the food is locally-sourced, and in addition to the daily food hours, a snacks & light bites menu is served daily from midday to 9:30pm. Nearby attractions include Mottisfont Abbey (National Trust). Bus service is sparse - once a day Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday only, plus a school bus. May close earlier mid-week depending on trade.
