This Pub is Closed Long Term

Located on the road passing through East Tytherley, the Star Inn enjoys both regular and passing trade. The village cricket field is behind the pub's large car park. The courtyard outside the pub is a pleasant place to enjoy a sunny afternoon, while challenging your friends to a game on the enormous chess set. The chef uses fresh, local, seasonal ingredients, where possible, and all meals are cooked fresh to order. Accommodation is offered through 3 en-suite guest rooms. The Wi-Fi password is available from the bar.

Planning permission was granted 11/09/2018 to convert the skittle alley / function room into two more B&B rooms. The work appears to have been carried out in 2021 but the pub remains closed. The pub has also been advertised to let or for sale with 5 guest rooms and was sold in 2023. No further information has been found since (last checked October 2025).
