Reopened 31st May 2025 at 12:00 - '...this historic Pub at the centre of the Village of Broughton [has been] refurbished to its former glory by a Group of enthusiastic and committed Volunteers'. The beer range shown may be provisional.

Following a three-year closure, the pub reopened as a community pub on 31st May 2025. The building’s multi-roomed past can be imagined from the walls which provide discrete areas within what is essentially a single space. Furniture is simple but comfortable, and includes a settle. There are two brick fireplaces, one of which is destined to house a wood-burner. See also the trophy shelf and the elaborately decorated chest. And one must also mention the rather handsome toilets.

At the time of survey (07/06/25) soft furnishings were still awaited, as were decisions about what future cask ale policy will be. To a degree, the revitalised Tally Ho! is a work in progress, a space to be watched.

No food served, but Pop-up food vendors will appear (probably twice a week), best to keep an eye on the Pub's Facebook for further details.

Apart from the manager, assistant manager, and front-of-house manager, staff are volunteers.

Broughton is a pretty, Test Valley village. The pub stands opposite St Mary’s church, a C12 building in the churchyard of which is a large, brick dovecote. Wallop Brook, a tributary of the Test, flows through the village, and the Clarendon Way crosses the village on its path between Winchester and Salisbury. The bus service is sparse: on Monday to Saturday it arrives from Winchester via Stockbridge at 1310, but only on Saturday is there a return journey (at 1610).
