This Pub is Closed Long Term

The Hinton Arms is due to close on 15th February 2026.

Welcoming food based pub with wooden beams and a hunting theme (including a stuffed otter in a large display case). The four hand pumps on the bar serve various re-badged local beers. Outside is a patio areas with seating under parasols and a large garden with benches and children's play area on the other side of the car park. Serves a wide variety of traditional English pub food with a specials board and numerous vegetarian/vegan dishes. The pub is especially popular with diners on Sunday and booking may be advisable.

Historic Interest

The 1644 Battle of Cheriton, part of the English Civil War, took place in the area and the Battle of Cheriton Walk, starting & finishing at the pub, takes you around the battleground.
