This Pub is Permanently Closed
A large, post-war pub with an enormous car park, the Oak and Yaffle has two public rooms: the public bar offers darts and television; the restaurant offers English and Thai food between 6pm and 9pm daily, and additionally between midday and 2pm on Saturday and Sunday. Further exoticism is provided by Wednesday's curry night. The small garden leading off the public bar is furnished with benches. Yaffle is an old name for the green woodpecker; the word is onomatopoeic.
