Welcoming village inn with an excellent reputation for food available in two large but intimate lounges. The L-shaped bar serves a seating area which has been built for drinkers. The garden area is popular with families and walkers in summer as this is good rambling territory. The pub has a visiting post office one day a week in the adjoining Scotts Arms Stoves Room. Four handpumps serve three regular ales and a changing beer may be added in winter.
