Bell Lane, Selsley, Stroud, GL5 5JY (View on Google Map)

Small low-beamed cosy pub, benefitting from an extension and refurbishment in 2016, the Bell Inn is a Cotswold stone 16th century with far reaching views across the valley to Rodborough. Unashamedly food orientated and rated by the AA in 2023 two rosettes. That said there is space for drinkers in the bar and in the summer on the large terrace.

On arrival and one finds the long pub with car park behind scribing a compass angle providing for a NE facing terrace to the front and a SE patio at the end of the building. Entry is into the Bar area which has a full-length bar with a wood burning stove to one end. Five hand-pulls are in evidence which are populated with 3 ales, apparently always one from Uley, normally Bitter and two guests.

You can go left into the light modern extension which has doors to the aforementioned patio area & views across the valley to Rodborough. New modern toilets are to the rear of this room. Taking a right turn there are two further rooms arranged as dining areas in what is the historic 16th century part of the pub, one leads to the other up steps with the furthest one having another wood burning stove for comfort.
