Recently refurbished restaurant and bat now renamed the Orcadian Restaurant & Barbar. Overlooking Kirkwall harbour, the oldest part of the Ayre dates back to 1791 and it was a Temperance Hotel between 1885 and 1938.
There are plenty of comfortable seats in the bar to relax with a pint after a day exploring the many visitor attractions locally. Close to bus station and the ferries to the outer isles of Orkney are but a short walk away.
Lunches from noon till 2pm and evening meals from 6pm till 9pm using Orkney beef, fish and other produce. Dining area has a new conservatory. Booking strongly advised for meals.
