The Butchers Arms is a traditional local pub run by Coppice Side and Leadmill breweries, with a large car park and beer gardens to the front and rear. The bar always has local ales from Coppice Side, Leadmill and Bottle Brook breweries; the pub has been awarded the Erewash camra pub of the year 2014. The main bar is simpley furnished and has a log burning fire, no juke box or gaming machines to interfere with the conversation. The building itself is listed and stands back from the road and is quite imposing. A good selection of fresh cobs and pickled eggs are available, a quiz is held every first Wednesday in the month. Dogs are welcome on leads and well behaved children are allowed in the bar.
