This corner pub was built by Hardy's Kimberley Brewery in 1913 to replace a nearby pub demolished for road widening; a very faded sign survives on the roof tiles: 'HARDY’S ALES'. The large 'j'-shaped bar leads to a smaller dining room at the rear. There is an attractive beer garden. It offers six handpulled beers, mostly sourced from local breweries such as Full Mash and The Marlpool Brewing Company. A bright and spacious pub which also offers bed and breakfast. Carvery on Sundays and steak night Thursdays. At weekends there are live bands and other entertainment.
This Pub serves many changing beers (Six cask ales, mostly from local breweries.) and 0 regular beers.
