The Chequers Public House was once a small, late-Victorian building, two storeys high and built of painted brickwork, but was modified in the 1990’s and has multiple extensions on its southern side with further additional single storey extensions to the rear, a small beer garden and a large car park to the north, Regulars pub, tried out real ale, but could not compete with Greyhound round the corner.
