Close to the site of the 1471 Battle of Barnet, this traditional Greene King tenanted pub dates from 1863. Locals and walkers drop in after a stroll over Hadley Common. Granted Asset of Community Value status in 2017, the pub offers four separate areas within an open plan layout. Many TVs at the rear show sport or news. Well behaved dogs are welcome inside, in the beer garden at the back or within the additional seating area to the front.
Be advised that the admission pre booking signs are just a deterrent for known unwelcome guests. Do not be put off!
