Traditional and comfortable one bar local tucked away off of Wood Street. Interesting features include various nautical objects including an impressive display of model ships and a collection of novelty salt and pepper pots. The Nelson offers up to five ever changing cask ales often from independent breweries. Quiz night every Weds and open mic first Tues of the month. The Lord Nelson Community Group succeeded in obtaining ACV status for the pub in September 2022.
