This Pub is Closed Long Term

Modern pub in a concrete building, having been through a succession of owners and names. Owned from 1991 by Regent Inns, from mid-2000s Urbium, since c.2010 Novus. Was the Crown & Anchor, from 1986 Spatz, from 1991 Fleets, from 1994 reverting to Crown & Anchor, from 1996 Old Cobblers, by early 2000s a Walkabout, from mid-2000s Alibi, renamed again c.2010. Now a tiki bar & restaurant, named after the Hawaiian god of the sea. Spacious venue, no real ale, two draught lagers.

24-00094-FULL - planning permission granted for a temporary 3 year conversion to a community space - in use by the Urban Farmers project. There is a separate planning permission applied for to demolish the building [23/01102/FULMAJ]
